Picking vegetables!!!

This is the our father-son summer project. Our vegetable garden has vegetables now. My dad is trying to teach me how to pick them - raddish, tomato, pepper, capsicum and cucumber, but he wouldn't let me eat them. Now, you're supposed to eat vegetables, right? Even I know that. But my parents are so habitual to tell me "no" every time I put something in my mouth (in their defense, mostly off the floor), that they are telling me not to put tomato and cucumber in my mouth. Parents, right?
